The Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau (GHCVB) has launched a gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) campaign to lure gay travelers to Houston. By placing advertisements in GLBT publications and hosting GLBT-focused reporters, the GHCVB hopes to increase GLBT visitation to Houston, which will in turn increase visitor spending.

The Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau (GHCVB) has launched an effort to become more environmentally friendly in 2007. As of Jan. 1, 2007, all GHCVB publications—the Houston Official Visitors Guide, Houston Meeting Planners Guide, Houston Fact Finder and Houston Membership Directory—will be printed on recycled paper.
